the collections :: other limited edition prints
Just the title of this collection evokes thoughts of art and romance. In my ten years of travel to Europe, I have collected hundreds of images that I have only painted or drawn a small portion of. Throughout this year and into the next, I will be creating new original works and a small series of prints from these travels. So, as the year progresses, stop back to my site (and in particular, this collection) to see new works as they are created. Just to tempt you a little - the piece that I am working on now is set in the southern-most town of France, on the island of Corsica. It's sunrise and the view is as you are standing at waters edge on the Mediterranean. Before you, perched high atop white chalk cliffs, is the sun-drenched town of Bonifacio. Above that is a sky of blue, orange, gray and white, all moving and flowing together. This piece also involves one of my newest techniques, in which I layer paper to give a dimension to the work. This collection could be called "the best of France and Italy," but "From Paris to Rome" sounds more like an adventure, and that's what my work is all about.
