the collections :: the cats of tuscany

In September 2002, I spent nearly a month roaming the medieval hilltowns of the Tuscan region. There I found many willing models in all types of situations. Everything from a cat perched atop a classic 1973 Fiat 500, to the common windowsill pose, and many, many more. After several months in the studio I feel I've created my best work to date. Some new approaches and techniques have allowed me to expand the scope, vision and execution of my work in a way that I feel you will really like. Don't worry, by no means is this going to be cutesie kitty art. I have and am attempting to convey through an artistic medium the relationship between a land, her people, and one of her most ever-present yet elusive residents and characters... The Cat.

Enjoy.
